SHORT-TERM COURSES/CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (STC/CP)
Objective
The Centre established the Short Term Courses/Certificate Programme (STC/CP) to provide in –depth theoretical training coupled with practical exposures aimed at exposing qualified candidate to new technological innovations in their chosen field of study.
Admission Requirements in:
(A) Professional Enhancement Training Programme such as:
i. English, Mathematics and any other subject for ATWAS
ii. HND, B.Sc, B.Tech. in any field and others as required by the professional bodies.
DURATION: Four months and will run bi-annually: January-April and July-October (weekends)
(B) Autodesk Software Training (Auto Card Design)
STUDENTS: Five(5) credits at WASC/NECO/GCE/O’Level or NABTEB
PROFESSIONALS: Five (5) years experience in professional practice (AUTODESK SOFTWARE).
DURATION: Varies according to programme and status (weekends)
(C) Certificate Course in Sports Science
Admission Requirements:
i Candidates must have minimum of three credit passes at WAEC/NECO/GCE O’Level or NABTEB.
ii Recommendation confirming cognate experience from Director of Sports, FUTA or from any other institution endorsed by the Director of Sports, FUTA.
DURATION: Three (3) semesters
(D) Certificate Course in Meteorology
Admission Requirements:
(i) Candidate must have five (5) O’ Level WASC/GCE in any of the following :Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics or any other relevant subject;
(ii) World Meteorology Organization (WMO) Class II Meteorology Certificate normally required for Direct Entry in the Department of Meteorology and /or a minimum of 7 years professional experience in any related field;
(iii) Graduates in related discipline lie Geography, Geology, Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Agric. etc
DURATION: Full Time and will last for five (5) months.
(E) Certificate Course in French Language
(F) Diploma in Forestry and Range Management
(G) Computer Training Programme (Morning and Evening Sessions):
Training programmes are available in the following:
i) Executive Certificate Course in Computer Studies(3 months)
ii) Advanced Certificate Course in Computer Studies(3 months)
Admission Requirements:
(I) At least possession of Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalents for Executive Certificate Course.
(II) To qualify for Advanced Certificate Course, candidate must obtain a minimum of upper credit at Executive Certificate Course.
(H) Diploma in Finance and Business Management Technology
Admission Requirements:
Candidates should possess O/L WASC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB at not more than two sittings with a minimum of credit passes in English Language and Mathematics and any other three relevant subjects.
DURATION: 4 Semesters
(I) Diploma in Forestry and Range Management
Admission Requirements:
Five credits including English Language and Mathematics at WASC/NECO/GCE O’Level or NABTEB Mature candidates who have worked for at least five years in related area and who have undergone training at the Forestry Training School may be considered for admission.
DURATION: Two (2) Academics Sessions
(J) Diploma in Sports Science Technology
Admission Requirements:
Five credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other subjects at not more than two sittings at WASC/NECO/GCE O’Level or NABTEB
DURATION: Two (2) Academics Sessions.
(K) Diploma in Library Management
Admission Requirements:
Five credits including English Language and Mathematics at WASC/NECO/GCE O’Level or NABTEB Mature candidates who have worked for at least five years in related area and who have undergone Certificate in Library Management Training may be considered for admission.
DURATION: Two (2) Academics Sessions
(L) Cisco Certificate Examination
Admission Requirements:
Five credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other subjects at not more than two sittings at WASC/NECO/GCE O’Level or NABTEB
DURATION: Varies according to programme.
(M) TFI - Diploma in Financial Technology
Technical Requirements

Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft edge.
A fast internet connection
A virtual learning platform which will be communicated would have to be downloaded.
